OBA Room

The OBA for a very long time operated out of a room kindly donated by the School. Its’ dream of having its own premises finally came true in JuIy 2001 when Tan Sri Azman Hashim launched a 2 storey block named Dewan Azman Hashim (two years after the Ground Breaking Ceremony on 1999). The funds for this new building amounting eventually to over RM550,000 were largely met from donations from the OBA Account, Tan Sri Azman Hashim and a grant from the Federal Government of Malaysia.

The OBA donated the ground floor to the School to be used as a canteen for the Secondary School thereby enabling the existing shared canteen to be used solely for the Primary School. The upper floor was solely for the use of the OBA. This Floor had a small hall to hold AGMs or small fellowship dinners, an Executive room for Committee meetings and toilets. With the donations from Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Datuk (now Tan Sri) Leong Hoy Kum and Dato’ Richard Wong the whole OBA Hall was air-conditioned and equipped with tables and chairs for dinners and meetings as well as table-tennis table and darts board for indoor games.

Golden Jubilee Celebrations 2010

Recognising the importance of this milestone in the history of the OBA, as in the case of its Silver Jubilee Celebrations in 1985, additional activities like Teachers Fellowship function, Batch Night and the OBA Commemorative Book have been undertaken in this Golden Jubilee year of the OBA.
